Sat 15 Jun 2013 Melbourne to Sydney

Left Melbourne 9am and picked up Mick and Pat in a maxicab. Queue for dropping bags was fairly long. Everyone is printing boarding passes online now. Off for a quick coffee then onto the plane. We were sitting next to members of the band, Black Angels. They mentioned they are supporting Robert Plant at the Red Rock festival in Texas soon. I googled them and they are quite well known. They put us on the door list for their show at the Enmore Theatre.

Checked into Ibis World Square and then walked down to The Rocks. Straight down Pitt St from the hotel to Circular Quay. Had lunch at the Bakery Cafe next to Nurses Walk. Found the Rocks market and info centre. Pat booked a bridge climb for tomorrow. Took a sale on the Soren Larsen tall ship around Sydney Harbour. Pat and I climbed 15 metres up the mast to the crows nest. We were strapped in but it was really windy. Great view at the top. Walked back to the hotel for a rest. Peter fell asleep while I was charging all the equipment.

Went to dinner at the Dianethes Restaurant for Greek food in Pitt St. It was really good and not expensive. We were all to tired to go to the Black Angels concert. Back to the room around 9pm.
