29 December 2013 Queenscliff

Off to find another place for breakfast this morning. Not many places open yet. We settle on the Rolling Pin in Hesse St. Egg and bacon sandwich for Peter and raisin toast for me. Read the papers again (god we are boring) then off to the Queenscliff Market at Princess Park. It is already chokkers with people. I spy a cheap cat cage and take it back to the apartment while Peter looks around. By the time I get back he is finished looking! Plenty of jewellery stalls, too much competition here! Lots of pretty things though. Getting some ideas. Only buy some yummy muesli and peanut butter. Wander around a bit until I find Steph, Rod and Jen near the donut van. Jen likes her Christmas presents. I think her mum does too! Peter comes back to see them then they are on their way. I walk back to the apartment for lunch with Peter then he heads off home trying to beat the traffic.

Walking down to the shops to finish off where I left off when Peter came down! Still plenty of people around. It’s been a busy day with the market, Thomas the Tank day out on the Bellarine Railway, big swim in Pt Lonsdale. Glad I didn’t drive down today! Finished off checking out the shops. Nearly bought a pair of shoes but I stopped myself. Have to carry them home myself. Not a good idea! Where to go for dinner now?

The Couta Boat Restaurant on Hesse St! Had the salmon and flourless frangipane cake. Mmmm good. Caught up on a bit of reading my book. The waitress said she was jealous on me having ‘me’ time!  Think I’ll ride to Portarlington tomorrow to wear off dinner!
