18-19 September 2014 Melbourne to London

Left Melbourne on a miserable spring day to catch planes – 9 hours to KL was doable but 13 hours to London was soooo long to be cooped up in one spot. But we made it and arrived at 6am! Perry and Lin picked us up from Heathrow and we went to their place in Kent. Peter, Perry and Lin talked about what’s happening at Metro for a while until I suggested we change the subject. Lin took us for a drive around their local area. It is very pretty English countryside.
We saw Roman ruins of The House and Granary not far from where they live from around 120AD and Lin’s local church from 11th Century. Having some chill out time now to catch up from the jet lag. Out for dinner tonight.
