9 Jun 2016 Melbourne, Daylesford, Castlemaine to Maryborough

Thank goodness the rain stopped by this morning so Craig could put my bike in the car without getting drowned. I set off for Daylesford to catch up with Fiona and retrieve my glasses that I left at her place in April. We had a couple of coffees at Frangos and could have talked all day if I didn’t have to keep going and she needed to volunteer in the op shop. I continued my journey to what I thought should have been Castlemaine but actually I had booked RJs B&B in Maryborough! No wonder I couldn’t find the address in Castlemaine. ┬áNo harm done. I made it to Maryborough just in time to have a late lunch after checking in.

A walk around the town led me to a craft shop and a quick browse for a couple of bargains of course. On to Lake Victoria for a browse among the bird life. Only up the road from the B&B really. The path meanders around the lake passing the caravan park and a footy oval including a rotunda and grandstand. Pictured are the commemorative main gates of Princes Park.IMG_8954
